Rising Waters, Shattered Dreams: Join us in Providing Relief to Flood-Hit Northern India

The recent surge in water levels along the river banks and continuous heavy rainfall in the Northern regions of India have resulted in widespread devastation, affecting numerous districts in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and low-lying areas of Delhi. These regions, once vibrant with life and hope, are now facing the consequences of the natural calamity.

The lives of the vulnerable population have been disrupted by the merciless force of nature. Streets have turned into rivers, swallowing homes and belongings of the low-income families, leaving them with nothing but shattered dreams.

In Himachal Pradesh, the fury of torrential rains, floods, and landslides has claimed the lives of around 330 people, leaving over 12,000 homes in ruins. The losses incurred by the flood has climbed up to INR 10,000 crores, as reported by the state. Vital roads connecting remote villages have been obliterated, severing lifelines to the outside world. Essential services like water, power, and agricultural activities lie in ruins, pushing these communities further into a cycle of hardship.

The floodwaters may subside, but the scars they leave on the hearts of these vulnerable individuals will endure for a long time.

Amidst this chaos, a sense of urgency envelops us. We cannot turn a blind eye to the plight of our fellow citizens. The time to act is now.

At CASA, empathy knows no boundaries. We urge you to join us in our active initiative to help the families affected by the floods in Northern parts of India forthwith.

CASA is providing essential supplies such as dry ration kits, hygiene kits, and safe drinking water to the affected areas, where the impact of the floods has been dire.
